Nintendo has announced that, on June 28, it will shut down several of the Wii's online services. The Forecast Channel, News Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, Nintendo Channel, Check Mii Out Channel will no longer be available, and Wii friends will no longer be able to exchange data over Wii Connect24.

Over the past few weeks, there have been several new Mario-related releases. Most recently, on March 28, Luigi's Mansion 2 was released in Europe, and Game & Wario was released in Japan.

Additionally, Nintendo released a system update for the 3DS on March 26. This update allows 3DS users to transfer save data from a physical copy of a game to a digital copy (this transfer cannot be reversed). When selecting "Download Later" in the Nintendo eShop, items will now download in Sleep Mode while the eShop is running, as well.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon has been released in North America today.

Lugi's Mansion 2, known as Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon in North America, was released in Japan today.

Nintendo, in today's Nintendo Direct, made several announcements for the Mario series, yet Mario was not the main focus this time around. In what Nintendo has dubbed, the "Year of Luigi", they released information on both known and new titles across both of their platforms, giving Mario's brother his chance in the limelight.

Nintendo has announced on Facebook that there will be a new Nintendo Direct tomorrow on Valentine's Day covering some upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Wii U games. As always, it will be available at 9:00 am EST/6:00 am PST. Here's to hoping we'll hear a bit more about the Epic Yarn-like Yoshi game and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem!

Nintendo made several Wii U related announcements at today's Nintendo Direct, including system updates, Wii U Virtual Console, Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker HD and a yarn-like Yoshi's Story type game.

Nintendo is planning on releasing two Wii U system updates in the future, one in spring and the other in summer to address the load time issues experienced by Wii U owners when launching software or returning to the home menu. The Wii U's Virtual Console will also be launching along with the spring system update. Wii U Virtual Console games feature the ability to create a save point (save state) at any point during game play (though it is limited to only one save point at a time), play Virtual Console games on the Game Pad screen and access Miiverse communities. Additionally a variety of control options from Classic Controller to Wii U Pro and of course the GamePad are all available, complete button customization. Nintendo will release NES and SNES games at the launch of the Virtual Console with plans to release other console games such as Game Boy Advance. There will also be special pricing for Wii U owners that already own the Wii version of a Virtual Console game, with the enhanced Wii U version of NES games costing $1.00, while the SNES games are $1.50.

Now that the forums are back up, we're working hard in bringing back the TCG to how it used to be. Weekly updates, usually Wednesdays and/or Thursdays, expect to see more series and cards added. We are all looking forward to having the cards re-released, adding more/new cards as well as seeing most, if not everyone, play the TCG again. Also, we are asking if you, as a community, to help us in keeping the TCG balanced and clean. If you notice a card that's too overpowered, or if the card's information/description is in need of a fix, please do not hesitate to let me know and I'll handle each one of your reports in an orderly fashion.
