The game that started it all: Nintendo's success of home gaming consoles, video gaming's first mascot, and a truly historic game. Created by Nintendo's mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto and his Staff, Super Mario Bros. is the game that formally introduced the Mario Bros. (Mario and Luigi). Not only did it make us more familiar with the plumbers we met in the early Donkey Kong series and arcade Mario Bros., it introduced us to the Mushroom Kingdom and the rest of the main Mario characters.
One of the games amazing feats was that it pioneered the 2D Platforming genre of gaming. Play as the plumbers, Mario or Luigi, as they jump and battle their way through multiple Goombas, Koopas, Hammer Bros., and even more enemies through the vast worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom. Throughout the way, you must also try to save Princess Peach from Bowser, King of the Koopas. |
